Steps to Becoming a Volunteer

Here are the basics on becoming a volunteer at ct|church. If you’d like more information, we’d be happy to send you our Ministry Team Application Policy.

  1. Volunteer Application & S.H.A.P.E. Assessment: Each potential volunteer must fill out an application and complete the online S.H.A.P.E. Assessment.

  2. Pastoral Review: Both the application and assessment will be reviewed for completeness and to ensure eligibility.

  3. Interview: Once the Pastoral Review has been completed, a personal interview will be scheduled with the pastor or ministry leader over the area(s) in which you’d like to serve.

  4. Background Check: Background checks (conducted by Checkr) will be performed on every eligible applicant.

  5. Active Volunteer: After all other stages have been completed, the appropriate ministry leaders will be notified that you are ready to serve!
